A pillar of the Westville community and School District, Madonna is set to retire
after 40 years in education. She has had a positive, generational impact on the
District and community. A true leader, she exemplifies what a great teacher looks
like. She has a knack for building effective relationships with students, families,
and coworkers. Throughout her stellar career, Mrs. Poggendorf has spent
countless extra hours working on committees, helping with school activities, and
working tirelessly to ensure that student needs are met and families are included
in the educational process. Among so many other things, Mrs. Pogg will be
remembered for her dedication to producing classroom plays and her Mother’s
Day teas. Madonna Poggendorf has touched the lives of thousands of students
and families, who will always remember her with deep affection.
