Sandy graduated from Hoopeston, as did all of her children. She worked for FMC in
Hoopeston for 11 years, then for CVS for seven years before joining the staff at
Maple Elementary as the cook in the cafeteria. Sandy has been with the Hoopeston
School District for 14 years. To her family, she is better known as Nana, as she loves
spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren. She enjoys working in her
flowerbeds and helping her husband in the garden. She loves her job at Maple
because she loves all of the youngsters that she prepares meals for daily.
