Shawn Bennett’s decision to not seek re-election will end a nearly four-decade run of public service. Under his leadership the district has seen transitions from VOTEC to College Express, the utilization of Dual Enrollment (more than a decade of dual high school/associate degree graduates), the early adoption of 21st century technology, and capital facility investment on all campuses to provide students what they need now and well into the future. He is a pillar of the Westville school community. His leadership has been fiscally prudent, student-centered, and steadfastly positive throughout his remarkable tenure on the board.
