Tia Petersen has been an outstanding fourth grade teacher at Rossville-Alvin since 2019, consistently finding innovative ways to connect with each individual student in her classroom. By incorporating students' interests while maintaining high academic standards, she has created an engaging and supportive learning environment where every student thrives. Tia’s passion for curriculum development has led her to become a leader within the district, contributing her expertise by serving on a variety of committees and taking on the role of PBIS Coordinator. Her dedication to improving student outcomes and shaping educational practices has earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues. As Tia prepares to transition to her new role as Curriculum Director next year, there is no doubt that her vision and leadership will continue to positively impact the district for years to come.
