written by Daniel Hile, Department Chair for Career & Technical Education at Danville High School

It is an honor for Danville School District #118, specifically the Career & Technical Education & Human Resources Departments, to recognize Mrs. Lindsay Light as a friend and advocate. Mrs. Light works for the Vermilion County Regional Office of Education (ROE #54), specializing in teacher licensure.

Mrs. Light has helped highly skilled business & industry candidates become licensed teachers. It is because of Mrs. Light that our classrooms are filled with licensed educators who provide skill-based courses designed to capitalize upon student interests & improve employability skills. Additionally, our district can serve literally hundreds more students in courses such as Baking, Cooking, Child & Adult Development, Building Trades Geometry in Construction, Welding, Automotive Technology, Business Education, Computer Education, Industrial Technology & Engineering because of Mrs. Light's assistance. Lindsay's consistency to work with our district & to support our growth allows our CTE department to meet their main goal of "helping students feel prepared for life after high school."

Lindsay Light has been a beacon of hope the past years by helping quality women & men become licensed to teach Career & Technical Education at DHS. Thank you, Mrs. Lindsay Light, for your top-notch dedication, prompt & knowledgeable responses, & for always going the extra mile to assist incoming teachers to Danville School district #118. It is because of you that our district continues to grow!
