Mrs. Perez demonstrates a strong commitment to the success of her bilingual learners; her classroom environment is both academically supportive and emotionally supportive. Mrs. Perez goes above and beyond for her students. This year, one of her students broke his arm in PE. His mother spoke no English so Mrs. Perez went with the student to the hospital and to all subsequent doctor visits, including his surgeries.
