Vermilion County - Regional Office of Education #54

Ms. Coffman has taught in the Danville Community School District for 16 years, specifically at Southwest Elementary. During this time, she has taught first grade and is a leader within the grade level and school. Ms. Coffman has managed to not only successfully prepare students academically, but has taught them how to work with others and how to work as a community. She has served as a volleyball coach and a problem-solving coach for several years. She is a member of multiple committees and a unit leader. Ms. Coffman is always the first to say, “I will take that student,” find solutions to support the student and see them make progress and meet their goals. She works hard to ensure all students are successful and checks on students she had in earlier years. She is truly an asset to Southwest Elementary.
