Amanda has tackled being the sole home interventionist at DHS this school year.
Due to retirements and other situations, Amanda has taken the sole role and added a whole new meaning to it. Although many have stepped up to support her, Amanda's drive and tenacity are what stick out with me.
Amanda has provided support for hundreds of students by doing home visits, monthly meetings to discuss grades, classes, attendance, etc. She not only focuses on their attendance, but is very concerned about their social, emotional, and overall well-being. Amanda has had over 300 students at one time and has organized the home visits very strategically so that other staff members could be supportive.
She has been outstanding and very gracious in her role as the Home Interventionist and
never complains.
