Mrs. Kerner welcomes every student into her classroom with open arms.  She is encouraging, patient, and nurturing.  Mrs. Kerner has switched teaching roles at South View several times and has always given her all to each group of students who comes into her classroom. Mrs. Kerner’s students enjoy her class and respect her, and with these relationships, she brings out the drive to succeed in each of her students. Upon entering Mrs. Kerner’s classroom, the pride she and her students have is evident.

Mrs. Kerner creates engaging lessons that keep the students talking about academics outside of their classroom.  This aspect of Mrs. Kerner’s class is what keeps her students learning and succeeding.

When student needs arise, Mrs. Kerner meets the student where they are and helps them to excel at their own level.

Mrs. Kerner creates an atmosphere in her room that makes it hard not to smile and see the passion she has for teaching and helping her students succeed. Her energy is a bright spot in South View.
