C. Reifsteck

Cheryl Reifsteck started her educational career at Potomac Grade School where she taught third grade for one year.  She spent the next seven years teaching at Oakwood Grade School, with six years in kindergarten and one year teaching sixth grade.  Her years of experience at the elementary level prepared her to lead Bismarck-Henning Elementary School as Principal between 1994-2006.  During this time, she would later take on the additional role of Assistant Superintendent for the Bismarck-Henning School District.  Cheryl's remaining years would be served at the Vermilion Regional Office of Education.  She worked as the Assistant Regional Superintendent from 2006-2011, and when Michael Metzen retired, Cheryl assumed the role of Regional Superintendent.  Before her own retirement, Cheryl served as Regional Superintendent of Schools from 2011-2020.  Cheryl leaves behind a legacy of hard work, professionalism, and advocacy for Vermilion County students.
